How do I use handheld microphones?

Handheld microphones are found in the cupboard to the right of the sound desk, in the last drawer. They are on the left-hand side, and are labelled 1-4, which corresponds with channels “HH 1” to “HH 4” on the sound desk.

From here, all you have to do is unscrew the bottom section of the microphone, take two batteries from the top drawer, and put these into the microphone whilst making sure they are the right way around. Close the flap, and screw the bottom section on tightly, then press firmly on the button at the bottom of the microphone until you see a red light. The microphone is now turned on, and you can test this by speaking into the microphone and checking for signal on the sound desk.

When packing up, all you have to do is make sure the microphone is muted on the desk before unscrewing the bottom section, then remove the batteries and put them back on charge in the top drawer. Screw the bottom section back in, and then put the hand held in the correct container to finish.
