Helpful Info
- Mark cues with colourful LX tape around both ropes aligned to a number (e.g. 17). Line up the tape in order to get the bar in the right place for the cue.
- Bring bars up to the grid when out of use.
- Do not move LX bars without unplugging lights or bringing down cables – this will snap them
- Be mindful of coming up and down the stairs – they are steep.
- If the Stage Manager calls a show stop, check the front of the stage before putting the tabs down as fast and efficiently as possible.
WHEN MOVING A BAR, YOU MUST COMMUNICATE THIS TO THE STAGE.
Clear the stage before moving any bars.
Loudly intone ‘FLY BAR COMING DOWN’ or ‘FLY BAR COMING UP’ and communicate to the stage what is going on. In case of doubt, stop IMMMEDIATELY.
It is a privilege (not a right) to use the Greenwood fly system, and we should be mindful of safety when we do it.
We do not reweight the fly bars ourselves – a Greenwood technician will do it! If the bar is too heavy, VOICE YOUR CONCERNS and we will fix it!
